1. If you have (6) Ogryns in a Chimera, are they allowed to fire their weapons out of the Lasgun ports as regular guardsmen? Or is that restricted to only Lasguns?
2. How does movement work with getting out of a Chimera with the aforementioned Ogryns? I can't make sense of the text.

they can shoot out of the ports with their weapons. while the ports are labeled as lasgun ports, the rules say you can fire two weapons out of the ports not limiting which ones. unless there's a super asterisk special rule that disallows that.
its says, when you make your list ogryns can start in chimeras, but if during the game they want to embark in a chimera, when they weren't to begin with, an officer must be within 12" of one of the ogryns for the ogryns to embark. if u have a bone'ead in the ogryn unit the rule doesnt apply.
hope this helps.

So, then, a chimera can move 12 inches, in the movement phase and then the ogryns can disembark an additional 6 for the assault phase?
Q: Does turning count for movement? As in, can my chimera arbitrarily rotate itself to allow the door to be in prime disembark position?

no that's if the vehicle is open-topped you can assault out of it, funny u mention it bc u can put another guy on the turret portion for the open-topped option, but then the glance/penetrate result will be +1 against your vehicle.
turning is more crazy fantasy rules. it's assumed that when u moved the vehicle it did a 180 or 90 degree turn at the end of it's move which is why i do that so my guys can get out in a better position.

Gotcha. So basically my Chimera can "tokyo drift" into position.

ya i guess if the IG wants to put $10,000+ into a chimera for pimpiness. but i dont think they will be making smoothies and watching dvds on their 42" plasmas inside the chimera any time soon when there's a war to fight.

1) Six Ogryns in a Chimera. They can only use the six hull lasguns. At that, you can only shoot 3 lasguns to each flank, the way they are on the model. If you choose to have one ogryn shoot from the top hatch instead, it is open topped.
2) Disembarking is complete drift. You measure from the leading edge before movement to the leading edge after movement, and thus can only be 12" total. You can't move or assault any further, but can shoot normally.

Response in kind:
1. Didn't they get rid of flanks on tanks and such because people were just mounting sponsons onto the center turret (looking retarded) to get 360 degrees of attack?
2. All right, so you CANNOT assault / move after 12 inches of vehicle movement, but you CAN disembark and just hang out?

@vic 1. No, flanks are still in effect. The guns are mounted on the hull and as such only have 90 degrees from that point, thus the side shooting.
People are idiots. The rules pertain to how the absolute original model (albeit updated version) shows them. Like Justin's predator has its sponson guns mounted on the hull because he was facing idiots and didn't want to listen to it anymore. Doesn't matter; they still have a 180 degree arc as shown directly in the book. It doesn't matter how someone makes the model - they still will work as the rules say or intend. If someone comes up to you during a game and says that your heavy bolter or lasguns can fire all-round, laugh at them and kindly point out that they are fixed weapons, not turrets, and you won't try to break rules to better your game. With that many guardsmen the game is already good.
2. Yep. Move any distance, disembark up to 2.99repeating inches away, and hang out. Only exceptions are open-topped (orks and dark eldar come to mind) and land raiders, from which all models can disembark, shoot, and assault.
