So it appears the new Chaos Codex is destined for September, along with all the usual gubbins. Since they've axed all demons until who knows when next year, I don't think it's too much to ask to continue using them anyway. My up and coming army has plenty of demons in it, and I'd rather use them for what they are instead of some stupid person's idea. Of course, by extension this goes to Nicole as well, since it's her army too. What do y'all think?

Knock yourself out. Gorge yourself on the blood of weaklings.

What do you mean they've axed all the daemons?

"Daemons are generic, and are broken into Summoned Greater Daemons and Summoned Daemons. They have one profile for each type and can be considered almost like a spell effect. Codex: Chaos Daemons will be released several months after Codex: Chaos Space Marines for those who love their Chaos Daemons and want to field Daemonic Legions armies." -Gav Thorpe
Basically, demons have no abilities, no choices, and a single "meh" stat-line. They don't take up slots in the FOC, but have a designation; Greater Demons are HQ and Demons are Troops. They are summoned in a similar way as currently. They cannot move, but they can assault. That I can work around. What bothers me the most is the lack of any abilities. Fast attack demons with "Beasts" would've been nice.
I know the standard demons are thusly: 4.4.4.4.1.4.1.8.5+inv

that's rather sucky. Though I suppose on the other hand we'll now be able to play all-daemon armies when the other codex comes out.. but I like my bloodletters in my khorne army.

Which is why, amongst the club, we'll continue to use the current demons, with new summoning rules, when the new codex comes out. I play Word Bearers and like how my flamers are painted, enjoy unleashing 14 flesh hounds, etc. Sure I have bloodletters but I rarely use them.
In any case, we'll be cool and use old demon rules until the new ones arrive.

Wow! Picking and choosing rules to make Chaos better! That is certainly necessary! Dude, if anything they are nerfing Chaos for good reason. They are retarded good. Now, what can they nerf for space marines...
Meanwhile, Warmachine rules are still good, and always will be, because they have promised never to get rid of a unit or model! A new dawn has risen. Games Workshop has been weighed, measured, and found wanting. Play Warmachine.

Chaos is only "retarded good" when you know how to play them... in my experience, I've run across few players that knew how to play them well. Space Marines... could probably adjust the Land raider so it wasn't so threatening to people. Every game I've played, it's always the first thing that dies, first turn, before being able to move. I may as well play games with 250 points less than everyone else. That being said, I just found my land rainder, so I may actually use the blasted thing in a couple games to see if my luck has changed any. I plan on playing Warmachine sometime... I have two Khador jacks.. mostly because I thought they were really cool looking. And spending that kind of money on metal is quite a bit more appealing than spending the same amount on a bit less plastic.
