My goal is to have an 1850 pt. Eldar army all converted and painted for the next Chicago Games Day and enter into the Grand Tournement. So, here's the proposed list.
HQ Farseer on jetbike- Singing Spear, Eldritch Storm, Guide 128 pts. Elites Howling Banshees- Wave Serpent w/ twin-linked Bright Lances, vectored engines, star engines- Exarch w/ mirror swords, War Shout and Acrobatic. 9 Howling Banshees 352 Troops 12 Guardian Jetbikes- 4 w/ Shuriken Cannons 303 12 Guardian Jetbikes- 4 w/ Shuriken Cannons 303 12 Guardian Jetbikes- 4 w/ Shuriken Cannons 303 Fast Attack Warp Spiders- Exarch w/ 2 Death Spinners, power blades, Surprise Assault, 9 Warp Spiders 257 Vyper Squadron- 2 Vypers w/ 2 Shuriken Cannons, Star Engines 150
Open to suggestions... and no, I don't have most of this, so I'm all for changing the list around.
EDIT: dropped Warlocks on bikes for bikes w/ shuriken cannons.. new points total: 1796

have you considered upgrading 12 of your jetbikes to have shuriken cannons? They can still move, shoot, and assault, and with each set of 12 bikes having 4 cannons, that's 12 S6 shots per squad.

That would probably be better than the warlocks... might be able to have a Fire Prism too if I shift points around a bit..

the warlocks can be good, and since you have three warlocks leading each squad, they can ride a jetbike with the cannons, giving you their BS 4 and better chances to hit.

I don't think the Warlocks can ride the cannon bikes... because they "accompany" the squad. Also, I need to be points-wary because the tournies are strick about that sort of thing.

I'd like to participate in a Tournament for 40k as I've never done it before. Just hope it's not 90% Space Marine and subsequent variants/chapters Would get a tad annoying... no offense intended to Andrew and Modius you're nice Space Marine players . Especially Modius who took that victorious slaughter last week quite well I thought.

I really doubt I'll have an Eldar army that's tournament worthy by then.

First off, before you do ANYTHING ELSE EVERRZZRZZ, split all of your bike squads in two. This achieves a bit by itself. Not only does it fill up all of your troops, but also doubles the amount of scoring units and targets from the Troops section; always a plus. Having 6 jetbike squadrons will be a headache, if not nightmare for an opponent. I have other suggestions, and they will be shown in the list below:
HQ Farseer - Jetbike, Singing Spear, Doom, Fortune, runes of witnessing, spirit stones 173 pts Autarch - Jetbike, Banshee Mask, Laser Lance 123 pts
Elites 10 Howling Banshees - Exarch w/mirrorswords, war shout, acrobatic 192 pts Wave Serpent - tl brightlances, star engines, vectored engines 170 pts
Troops 6 Guardian Jetbikes- 2 w/ Shuriken Cannons 152 6 Guardian Jetbikes- 2 w/ Shuriken Cannons 152 6 Guardian Jetbikes- 2 w/ Shuriken Cannons 152 6 Guardian Jetbikes- 2 w/ Shuriken Cannons 152 6 Guardian Jetbikes- 2 w/ Shuriken Cannons 152
Fast Attack 5 Shining Spears - Exarch w/ Shuriken Cannon, Star Lance, Withdraw - 242 pts
Heavy Support Falcon - Brightlance, holo-fields, spirit stones 190 pts
1850 pts
Well, looks like I took out a jetbike squad and replaced it with Shining Spears. Trust me when I say that these guys really do shine. One thing your army was missing is anti-tank firepower. Now you essentially have 5 weapons of tank destruction. Guiding the falcon is usually going to be the best thing you can do, while simultaneously dooming the unit your banshee's are about to charge is dang peachy. As for that, farseers should never leave home without runes of witnessing, simply put.
I added in the autarch because I had that many points to fill, and he's perfect. With it being a tournament, reserves will probably be used, and the +1 to your rolls ensures your units coming out faster. Plus, he's freakin' nasty! Stick him in with the Shining Spears and they'll tend to kill much more than even the Banshees. When charging, the Autarch will put out five S8 power weapon attacks at I10, and the Spears will put out three S8 power weapon attacks at I6, and ten S6 power weapon attacks at I5. Um, character/Tyranid MC killer anyone?
Otherwise, keep everything moving and in synergasmic goodness and you should crush rather meaningly.
As for our tournament, it's only 1250 pts, so you might be able to get up and running by then.

Depending on when in the semester it is, I'll probably be using my marines. But it's good to know that it's 1250 points. I've been looking for that sort of information.
