So I was looking over some of the doctrines, and a question popped up.
Using the doctrine "Mechanized" states that all Guard Infantry Units must be deployed in a chimera whether the option is available not.
Due to the 10 person limit of the transport, does this mean that for a typical imperial guard platoon (2 squads of 10 + a Lt. Hq of 5) would require three chimeras to field? In turn, to satisfy the Force Allocation chart, I'd need a total of at least 7 chimeras? (3 per platoon and one of the HQ)?

Well, not quite. 1 for your command squad, 3 for the minimun 3 squad platoon, and an armored fist squad.

There ya go. Minimum 4 necessary. Take some sentinels, hellhounds, and leman russes and you're set.
[edit] So you know, chimeras can carry 12 models.

Oh, right. I think so... anythign else would be Armored Company, of which there are two lists; one on the GW site and one in the Imperial Armor I.
