hey guys as you know im going to build a space marine army out of the random stuff i have. this is what i have, after looking at it post the kind of HQ you believe i should get.
18 taticals with 1 las cannon, 2 rocket launchers, and 2 flamers.
8 terminators 2 sargents w/ 2 heavy flamers.
and maybe a landspeeder somewere ill have to look for it.

Is there a Terminator leader...u have a bunch of those so it might be cool to field a leader that is one too...if there is one I dont own a codex so.

to tell you the truth I would go with those librarian hq. codicier or epistolary. they are a little bit more expensive, but their psychic powers can do some major damage. that's my opinion though. and josh, you can basically make the hq choice a terminator bc they have the option to take thunder hammers and terminator armor, or you can take the librarian and make him a terminator. wow str 8 attacks on top of psychic powers!! that's almost unheard of!!! oh ya we're talking space marines here....

I agree. A terminator HQ of some sort would be awesome to go with those already that you have.

You got a solid core down from what I can see. proably should invest in some armor(ie. dreads, preditor, or whirlwind with all this 5+ save armies around) Also a cheap assault squad never hurt.

whirlwinds are awesome so go with those. don't see many of them around these days for some reason....or earthshakers for that matter either. is it bc they're too good?! dreadnoughts and predators are also a must. to tell you the truth there really aren't many vehicles the space marines have that suck. but the aforementioned are exceptionally good!

If you are planning on getting a good army, your should definlty get more tactical marines per points. Meaning you should have atleast 35 plus for a good 1500 list, or even 1000 point list.

all good stuff, i dont plan on expanding the army that much because im just using things i already have. I may get some more tatical marines, and some diffent heavy weapons.
