Adam, you're one crazy SOB, you know that? And I don't mean Sister of Battle.
I don't say that because of the lighting (as that has been done many a time before), but because your work is almost always done with such skill and precision.
Really nice work, I can't wait to blow it up with my morters
The corrosion and rust is extremely well done, and the freehand is awesome as usual. The fact that you can sculpt like that makes me jealous.
Needless to say, my swarm of winterguard (and their mass amounts of tiny hatchets) challenge that thing to a dual.

All I think is "SQUUUIIIISH!"
Wired through the leg? THAT leg?! Seriously, you're crazy. I wouldn't even know where start with something like that.
Maybe give the chain hints of metallic color, like the claws but not nearly as much. If you already did, well, then the picture fails me!
mmm, vicious evil green goo.

Yeah, wiring the leg was an uber-bitch- it took alot of drilling and some green-stuff reconstruction. The worst part (by far) was the head. You can't really see from the picture, but the grill in his face is actually carved out. That took freaking forever, and alot of additional frustration. Overall, I am satisfied. THe chains have a little bit of mettalic on them, but are supposed to look super rusted. Keep in mind, Cryx is a sea-faring force, so exposed metal is going to rust ALOT.
Oh, and Luong, bring the mortars on... The death jack can't WAIT to start gobbling up Winter Guard... all those tasty souls...

So, I just checked out the stats for that thing, and I think my winterguard just wet themselves.

Wow, simply wow. My favorite part is the trencher's entrails all over the base.
1. Is that rust around the rivets green stuff?
2. How muc of that paint is airbrushing?
2a. The symbols around the head, free hand or airbrushing?

1. Is that rust around the rivets green stuff? No- it is baking soda.
2. How muc of that paint is airbrushing? None.
2a. The symbols around the head, free hand or airbrushing? Free hand, all the way.
Thank you for the kudos, everyone. My ego is inflating to gargantuan proportions.

Don'y worry, My juggernaut swung in a sock will take care of any overinflated egos in the club.
Just kidding...
Hey man, you put a lot of time and effort into your work. You deserve all the praise you get.
What I can't explain is how I put lots of time and effort into my stuff, and it looks like crap.
Adam, it's always nice to fight someone who's army is either fully or for the most part painted Bare metal just detracts, if you know what I mean.

Yeah I feel the same way. I spend 3 hours working on a squad of guys and I'm comfortable with how they look and then Adam comes along and is like "Check out guys, I made this on my way to the meeting!"
I suppose I shouldn't be comparing myself to Adam, though, it just depresses me.

haha, I do not aspire to be as good at painting and sculpting as Adam, but I hope he does not mind if I take lead from his example.
I would have never have deduced to make my Cryx jacks rusty like he has rather than shiny silverish, but I think it's a great idea!

ya exactly. the product of hard work and determination. usually the stigma for gamers is laziness, but some people just want to go hardcore all out and the results usually look awesome. i would say it's almost disgusting how much painting you do haha.
