So, I recently ordered a new type of sculpting putty called "ProCreate." Besides being a euphemism for sexual intercourse, Procreate is a much more refined and easy to work with putty that traditional "Green Stuff" and "Brown Stuff." Procreate is formulated so that dependent upon the mixture of the two parts you use, and the temperature you use it at, it will harden with different speeds and with different qualities. For instance, more hardener in a mixture makes your mixture harden quicker (surprise surprise), but also gives your finished product a "harder" look with sharper edges (like Brown Stuff). A regular 50/50 mix has a product similar to that of traditional green stuff. Procreate also takes small detail easier than Green Stuff (which is easier to do, as ProCreate is less sticky than Green Stuff), and ProCreate is gray, so you can actually tell what you are doing. Long story short- next time you need sculpting/filling putty for conversions, gap-filling, finishing, or making your own creations, buy ProCreate. You can get it at www.thewarstore.com/cgi-thewarstore/sb/productsearch.cgi?storeid=*22be0c9aa9e73b83ea711015c5b795bc5ecfe6, which if you are not aware of, you should be. Great prices and service.

Conveniently, we have a package of ProCreate as one of our prizes for the 40K tournament. It's good to know you've already tried out the stuff.

must win, must win, must win.... I'm still working with the epoxy putties you find in hardware stores. OK for bases and stuff but a bit too gritty for actual minis.

Although, I do have to warn those who are unaware. When you ProCreate, seeing green or brown stuff is not normal...unless you enjoy anal. I could make a lot more innuendos with this stuff, but I will just keep it at that. Cool stuff btw. Sounds way better than the competitors.

bad, bad you with the inuendos. One of the putties I use now turns out sort of greyish and I'm not sure about the other I've got.. I think it's supposed to turn to a light blue or white when it dries. It's a paste that comes in 2 film canasters and you're supposed to mix it 1:1, but I'm now wondering if you can do the more-hardener thing (again with the inuendos) that you can with ProCreate. Just have to figure out which part is the hardener, black case or grey case. Dammit I need more time to sculpt shit.

Have you used Apoxie Sculpt at all? I prefer that to green stuff for many things as well. It has a texture a bit closer to clay or maybe really thick bread dough. It's sticky, but there's another chemical you can rub on to your hands or tools to keep it from sticking. I don't know if I'd use it as a ground-up sculpting material, but it's REALLY good for filling gaps and takes texture really well. It also comes in different colors, which might be handy for some things.
I gotta check this ProCreate stuff out, though. I like them chemicals.

Caleb, you are out of your element! Though I am glad you are active on the forums, Caleb, your posts are often reminiscent of a child who wanders in in the middle of a movie and wants to know what is going on.
At least it was longer than "cool."
You know I'm just fucking with you, you soulless little ginger republican bastard you. I wouldn't have let just anyone adopt my long-beloved vampire counts.
