I was thinking with a couple members, and to split up the races into more factions would be interesting. The Tau and Eldar could have a falling out and go different ways, the DE and chaos split, while the IG turn to chaos? Each team would be 2 players then, and have things a little heated, I dunno. Good idea?

Only bad thing with that is IG are using deamonhunters codex or witchunters or something so I dunno if then turning to chaos would make sense. Otherwise I dont have a problem with it, it could just get a little complicated.

The Imperial Guard are dutifully committed to the Emperor and would never succumb to Chaos taint, reguardless of circumstances. Not to mention I just bought a bunch of Grey Knights.

Well if thats the case, I say have the eldar be their own faction for a while and then see they out come and then have the desision which side they are on depending on the results or what not. In the back stories eldar tend to help the imperials if they dont like the other people, but then in the end they turn on each other.

actually we're at an odd number of 11. but yes splitting the groups up could make things interesting yet complicated. I don't know what the point of it would be unless there's some type of scenario happening in the storyline. I think we should definitely discuss this more to see where this could be going.

Haha, very true. My apologies. Well, Adam did mention his marines are almost heretical...lol. It's up to the players. Just a thought. I was trying to figure out some way to give numbers to Chaos. Let it be on the debate table!

My only thing is I do not want it to get to complicated. If every week the teams change it could end up being FUBAR, and no one wants that. I for one say leave well enough alone...the system worked good i thought. Everybody got in 2 games(minus Mike because he had to leave). The system so far seems to be working. Also stroy wise, if we are going with the artefact thing it makes sense for the Eldar to join up with the Tau because the Tau dont want the Artefact they want the planet. So the tau are the only race that arent going after the objective that the eldar are going after...it just makes sense.

Hmmm, true true. Like I said, just a thought. When we cook up some huge campaign in the future perhaps we can do something nuts like that. But for now I bow to the ultimo wisdom of "keep it simple, stupid" lol. On another note, I thought it would be good that everyone plays everyone not on their team at least once. So it takes a little bit of randomnity out for the sake of it, but I figure it'll work fine.

Well the thing about the eldar is that they dont want the artifact they want to destroy it! putting that aside usually the eldar dont join a side until it is absolutly clear that joining a side will suit them best. I know you want to keep it simple and making the eldar their own wont make things complicated.

Everybody should get to play every person on the opposite team, that just makes it more fun. I definitely want to play glenn though more than likely I will get my ass kicked but i have never played Chaos so that is something I want to try.

Well, the Eldar are wanting to protect it for starters because it's important to them as well. Unwitting Imperials have put it like in the same spot as a hidden warpgate the Dark Eldar don't even know about. So they will protect it unless it becomes not an option, then they'll definitely try to take it out.

The Tau no doubtably have heard of the artefacts whereabouts and are interested in obtaining it thereby obtaining the planet that they so desperately need to cling to. The the ground is there you may make the kill, that's how they play it, if you don't have the ground then you're nowhere and must move untill you have a spot to take your shot. If they got it, (in a city fight...ooh, let alone I've yet to win normally)((no offense to myself)) they'd probably tinker with it till it did that scene on RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and melted everybody for a three block radius. But, if that didn't happen I'm sure they could reverse engineer it so it did whatever they wanted it to do.
