I will be in this weekend sometime as well. I need to fix some of the terrain on loan to the store, not to mention improve it.

Hey, Thanks everyone for coming out tonight!
We had a really successful grand opening, and we hope to continue seeing your club in our store frequently. We're not always going to carry exactly what you guys are looking for, so if you ever want something that we don't carry please let us know so that we can put in an order. We're more than happy to do so to accomodate our customers.
Our hours are indeed 9-9 7 days a week, but I think in the not so distant future we will be changing them to something more like: 11-10 Sunday-Thursday 12-12 on Friday and Saturday We'll post the hours at the store when we make a final decision, but until then they will remain 9am-9pm.

I hear that this was opening and now that it has I do not hear much about it? Is there a problem with this store or just not anything happening worth writing about? I could be off base asking just wondering.

Na, just the usual comings and goings of a store. Nothing really to write about, other than a lot of people are in and out.

Yeah whenever we are there it is really busy but nothing to much to post about. We are having one of our group meetings there.
October 12th 530-11 at ON BOARD GAMES...
Also On Board Games (according to a discussion I had with John [one of the owners]) is going to be having a 40K campaign sometime starting in early october (i believe actually the weekend after our meeting there). You will need a 2000pt army list for the campaign.

A 40k Campaign? Color me in.

It will be fun, at least so I've read. Experience gained, honors, relics, etc. I like it, and am considering running one for the club.

Towards the end of last year the big thing being talked about was 40k Campaign for this semester - which I am really excited to participate in. I think it'd nicely combine my love for 40k and my love of roleplaying games if I understand the basics. I'm definetly in for any 40k Campaign anyone is running. I'd offer to do it myself, but with my academic load making it impossible for me to attend every meeting, I would not have the time.

2000 a bit high for me to really take part in I'm certain if you wanted to play a co-op army with Jess's Orks she'd be more than willing to play together.

you make a 2000 point list but the hisgest point game is actually 1750. All your lists though must be made from your 2000pt list. for more details go to ON BOARD GAMES! and read the rules that John has made.

Wait, do you mean go to the store and they have rules there or are they posted in this thread somewhere?

So you mean we make a list of 2000 points worth of units, and we just pick and choose for the actual games which are less than 2000?
Vic, I was talking about my Blood Angels, as my orks are not nearly in shape for any kind of real tournament or campaign. Thanks though.
On a side note, I'd be happy to play my orks with Jess's if she is coming to the meeting this week. Maybe we could jsut play what we planned for last week.

Yes, that's how it's working. Don't worry. Most games are in the 1000-1500pt region.

Either we'll do my IG against the Orks straight up, or I'll partner with someone else looking for a game.

ya from what i remember the first game is 1000 pts. second is 1500. and third and fourth games are 1750. the reason 2000 is required is bc not only you can be more flexible with your army set-up, but there are certain conditions under which you can lose points (as far as I remember) if you are beaten.

There seems to be a lot of confusion on the Tournament vs. The Campaign, rules for both - and when everything is happening at On Board Games.
Can anyone head over there tomorrow and get the official low down and post an announcement?

Josh is the only one that knows anything about the tournament. There is no mention of it on their website anywhere, so I'm assuming it's not happening or Josh is simply on the inside (like he is with the girls).
The campaign is called "Relic Hunters" and is complicated. Lotsa typing will be involved on that one. The campaign is happening mid-October.
