So I finally got around to skimming through the Necromunda rulebook today online, and I am excited that the 2nd edition rules are still in use somewhere! So, I'd like to start up a gang maybe, if Adam and other people were willing to do something too.
I'd go with Van Saar rules, so I can use the Kasrkin models. I want to make like a SWAT team that went AWOL as my story, and they seem to fit the bill.

Luong has it dead on- The arbites are pretty sweet anyway, and they are the closest thing in the 40K world to a SWAT team- Shotguns, shields and all.

Yea I suppose...it's not entirely as fun because I can't customize as much as a normal gang, nor have nearly the amount of weapons. But all the secondary stuff is taken care of, so I guess that's good. The other idea I had was to use the stormtroopers as, well, stormtroopers. I'd pay all the credits for all the wargear and such. Think that might work? Or would it be too unfair? Or there's my third idea, that I'm probably going to go with. I'll do the arbites, use these Cadian shotgun bodies with Elysian heads with respirators pack so that I have the faceless injustice of the Emperor. I like the last idea best of all. |

By the rules, it would be impossible. 'Rare' items like Carapice armor and Hotshot lasgun packs have to be rolled for in between games, so you couldn't start with them. Not to mention, quantity almost always beats quantity in Necromunda. I have never seen an exceptional gang made up of a small elite force. I have seen numerous gangs with a million juves kick ass though...
If we figure out when we want to play, I'm in, probably with Delaque.

Well good, I'll figure out how to use the Arbites against your exactly one million Delaguey juves. Uh oh...
I'm not entirely sure when right now. I don't have the models I'd like for it yet, so maybe even in the fall. It's just that I'd like to.
