Reasons I love this club

Being amongst the rabble today, I got to thinking how much better we are than many gamers, young or old. Also it was spawned by our talk a long while ago when a bunch of us went to the bunker.

1. We all basically know all the rules, and if we don't we make sense of things. And aren't jerks about rules conflicts. Thus issues are resolved quickly and without anger.

2. We are guys (and now a gal) with awesome lives outside of our inner nerd. In fact, looking at a picture of us, I bet few would think we do this kinda thing.

3. We are really all around fun. None of us have annoying voices, habits, or things of that nature to bother others.

4. We all freakin' take showers and put on deodorant!!! Clean shaven, etc! You wouldn't believe how much better of a gaming experience that is. A bunch of these older and younger guys don't do that thing, and it's gross.

5. Josh is the arguably the biggest guy in the club. And it's not portly fat, like so many gamers. Nasty and stuff. And yet he's awesome and tends to smell like axe instead of sweat and stink.

So yea. Suffice to say, we are awesome as a club. As an understatement.

ya i would have to agree. there are very few people i come across that are great gamers and we're all lucky to be a part of the club. me, mike and frizzelle game at dungeon games in burbank and while the guys are pretty damn cool, they have a little power gaming in them and while it's not a ton, it reminds me how much better it is to play guys from our club bc we are very tight knit so every game is just a blast. i can recall so many games I've had against people in our club where every moment was a pure joy to be a part of. some great memories. to name a few, me and josh's game against justin's godzilla/deathwing army (i have a grudge against every deathwing army grrr); the latest game i had against glenn's deathwing, and also pretty much any time i've played either adam. while adam h's games brought about crazy shit with the rules, it added for very interesting games. rumor has it that adam t will not be at niu anymore and i'm sad to see him go as he was a great addition to the club; one of the few people that came when our club started (when it was basically me, josh, adam t, caleb and andrew). he was always a great opponent as even when he was losing or winning he was a great sport about it. can't wait to get back into the niu action again though.

Naw, just fucking around, you guys are totally right. If we get into Games Day (or anyone goes to Gen Con) you will value our group even more. We are a downright gaming anomaly.

Adam T. did graduate, and will not be joining us anymore as he is now an important Bachellauriate.

Oh yeah, and way to call Josh fat, you jerk. Kidding.

I'm totally flattered that somebody knew what was going on with me even though I havn't been talking to you guys much. Yet more proof that our club is awesome.
Actually I'd like to say that of the various clubs I've been participant to, you guys totally ruled above everybody else. Congratulations! I totally hope I can make a pit stop and game with you guys in the future, but with out of state college that's looking pretty hard to do. Anyway, a special shout out to all of you gamers who showered. You are a special breed of warhammer player.

btw sometimes i'd rather smell like a garbage heap than axe body spray. and yes tag is the lower alter-ego of axe, but it's not overwhelmingly exhausting. but i'd have to say that some people would really need some axe at gw.

you have to be picky with your axe and tag bodysprays as they both have good smelling and bad smelling products.

i probably came across the bad ones then haha. but yes agreed. i dont even want to think about that time we went to the bunker and how bad it smelled behind us. we should of dropped a deodorant bomb over there or something. that should be axe/tag's new product: the deodorant bomb, an explosive charge of anti-bacterial spray (specifically aimed at those that NEVER shower i.e. the french or joe blow stinky kid).

Yea you forgot one thing on that list Andrew.

We know how to fuckin have a good time when we get drunk and party. Like the many trippings of josh over bushes, and snow angels on the way home from molly's. Getting my car towed while at the Barn with guys from the club and spending an hour in the parking lot waiting for them to give me a car. Matt on that handicapped thing in walmart while trying to get money to get my car. Thanks josh ;D. You guys are fuckin awesome.

And yea, we do fuckin know the rules and no reason to get a blackeye cause we are all cool know-it alls.

Oh yea, who remembers my alcoholic, miser, sex-aholic GURPS char? He was the best lol. And so was Caleb's Blue haired spellcaster! Hell we are all the shit.
