OK we will be hosting an In club Tourney for Warmachine (only) to celebrate the release of Mk II rules.
It will be held our first meeting next semester, January 14th, at 6:00, so be there around 5:30 to get your armies set up and registered.
*Free and only for club members
*35 pts (plus whatever your caster gives)
*Caster kills do not end the game in the first 2 scenarios, but it helps ;D (think of them as being wounded very badly if they croak in first two)
*Substitute models are allowed, such as a regular Ironclad for Ol' Rowdy, or an Epic Warcaster for a regular one, just make sure you explain it to your opponent and make sure that it is clearly printed on your lists, but this means no full on *proxies*, a unit of swordsmen are not long gunners and so forth
*Does not need to be fully painted
*Winner gets a softcover of the book.
*Need 2 printed lists so I can verify, and you will have something to keep damage track on www.forwardkommander.com/ I recommend this website for now.
*I will have all the rules printed out by then.
Round I 6:00 to 7:15 Killer Snow Fields- Armies meet as a blizzard rolls in, now forces must fight for safe areas that can shield them from the harsh weather.
Primary Objective: Occupy control points: one in the center, two others 8" off each table edge on the center line, first to 7 wins (or highest by time running out), score a point at end of turn when a friendly model's base is covering the point, can't score first turn.
Secondary Objective: Kill all opponent's units
Set-up: Each player places 3 terrain pieces.
Weather: A blizzard has whipped up and your forces fight for safe areas (points). Snowstorm- all models have concealment, terrain gives cover, no minimum deviation distance.
Round II 7:30 to 8:45 King of the Snow Hill- Now that the weather has subsided, forces must trudge through the snowed-in valley and seek the advantage that high ground has to offer.
Primary Objective: Have more models on the hill then your opponent at the end of the round to score a point, first to 5 wins (or highest if time runs out).
Secondary Objective: Disable all jack's
Set-up: Hill in center, each player places 2 pieces of terrain.
Weather: The snowstorm has left a blanket of snow on the ground thigh deep, making the high ground especially hard to claim. Frozen Tundra- all warrior models move as though through rough terrain, slammed and thrown models go +3"
Round III 9:00 to 10:15 Assassino- After much battling for field advantage, it's time to take the fight to the enemy, and severe the head of the opposing force by eliminating their commanders.
Primary Objective: Kill the enemy Warcaster
Secondary Objective: Have more models/units on your opponent's side of the field by the end of the game.
Set-up: Each player places 4 pieces of terrain
Weather- A chill wind has swept in from the North, cold enough even to freeze the blood of the toughest Khadoran. Got to keep moving before your bones freeze or your Jack's boiler goes out. Deep Freeze- If a model has not moved at least 1" in its activation, it suffers one damage point (Warjacks suffer hits directly to a system at random). Melee attacks count as moving for purposes of keeping warm (and not forcing free strikes). And yes Khadorans, even your immunity to cold cannot stop these gale winds from freezing through to your bones!
Scoring
Securing Primary Objective- 7 pts
Securing Secondary Objective- 4 pts
Loss- 2 pts
