Every year, the overall winner of Invasion Kenosha receives a brand new army. Last year's winner received a Skaven army which included a doomwheel, a battalion, grey seer, assassin, and champion (special characters). This year is no different as the winner will be getting a new army, which I hope they will build for Invasion IV.
With that said, I would like to get feedback from participant (former and potential) on which army they would like to see be the overall prize. With that said, I need to put down a few guidelines.
1. No Skaven or Warriors of Chaos. The reason is that Invasion I gave away a WoC army and Invasion Kenosha II gave away the army mention above. 2. Keep in mind that the army must be a responsible build. No extreme armies composed of all metal figures or huge blocks of troops. 3. Chaos Dwarves are a very viable option now that Avatars of War, Mantic and Warhammer Forge support them. 4. The list should be between 1000 & 1200 points and may use special characters. 5. Keep in mind that Invasion is about having fun, so armies with a theme or intended for casual fun play are preferred.

Another guideline...the person who wins must use that army the next year...you'll keep track...
I think all the elves are currently viable and interesting, and could be pretty much all plastic. Empire could be neat.

So far my list is evolving around my chaos lord of cool, his assistant gandal the flaming sorceror, his pet "Shaggy", and a unit each of warriors and marauders he calls friends. Until they die.

Wanted to give the NIMGC a heads up that in addition to the WFB tournament, there will be a 40K Killzone tournament in the afternoon/early evening. Prizes have been ordered and will have the Forgeworld label on them. Registration for the Killzone event will open on Jan 31st.

Think Kill Teams with a much better rule set. The system was developed by Galaxy in Flames and has three sold out sessions at this year Adepticon. There are links on the Invasion site to the rules and missions. Played some games of it this weekend, and it was a blast.

Is it 40k as mentioned or something entirely different?

40K using the 40K rules, but with a few small changes so each model acts independently. Basically, the same as Kill Teams with a few guidelines to make the system work.

Nice. Then I may be interested. Can't find any links or any information now though...plus the picture changed. I assume things are under construction.

Yeah - Most of the rules and stuff are down while the site is being revamped. Should have everything up before next Monday. www.box.net/shared/s8gq48dnkb <=Rules www.box.net/shared/ja6ya7on0m <=Errata www.box.net/shared/e726brgq65 <=Missions One last nugget for the NIMGC crew since you guys are supporting the event. Received confirmation from Forgeworld regarding the prize support for Killzone. One item will be a recently released Space Marine special character. The other prize will be a yet unreleased kit for the eldar. The actual kits will be announced on the site starting in Feb. There is also going to be some additional GW kits in the prize support.

I just registered for the Killzone event. Woot.
Oh hey, I didn't even notice the points level was upped to 1600. Well that's good, makes it easier to kit my lord. Plus I get more dudes!

Yeah - Made the decision it was time to move up the points and table sizes. Too easy at 1000-1200 for a single spell to win now.
The new logo has been added to the top of the thread.
Looks like we are also going to be hosting a full blown 40K tournament at the same time as the WFB tournament. Details in March.

Neat! Won't be doing that tournament, as I'm already set for the invasion. Also cool - painting competition! Will you be getting someone external to everyone to judge the entries so that they are objective?
