Honestly, I don't know yet. I am kind of waiting to see what others are bringing just so I can bring an army not being played. Diversity!

At this point, I think I am going with the daemons since painting is not a concern. If painting becomes a factor, I will have to explore my options.
Its been years since I have been out there. What are my dining options for Saturday?

There's fast food within a block in virtually all directions. There's a decent restaurant across the street that isn't too pricey as well.

I saw the post on AWC about not being able to do a category due to lack of prize support. What was the category and what do you need?

Yay, 5th place...stupid tied for 2nd for everyone else, lol. So, total kill ratio for Abaddon for the day: 43 kills, 1 death. 6 wounds total taken, 48 given. What a bloody beast! Unfortunately, a tons of ridiculously failed armor saves cost me 1st...ah wellz!

Yup i had a great time. Great job Frizzy and Bill!
I was tied for first but given second place after going into two other tie breaking factors of which I only missed that by 3 points as well.
Nice job Tom!
Vulkan "Charlton" He'Stan: 3 Supreme Commanders killed, Died 1 time (2nd round, killed BT Emperors Champ, and then died to rest of squads attacks)...overall I think he did ALOT. He's a beast I tell ya!
My opponents were fun, I had never played Nids with my Marines before. I think my Thunderfire took out 4 Gaunt squads cause of the come back ability that he paid for. That same game, Vulkan and his trust CC Termies took out a full squad of genestealers, warriors, gaunts and a Fex/Tyrant (I can't remember). I had one LC Termy and Vulkan left. RUN FOR THE LAND RAIDER, he said!
Anyways, I'm rambling. I had a great time! Thanks to Friz and Bill for running a good tourney and thanks to Jason, Jeff McConnel, and Jim for great games! Laters.

Alright everybody! I'm finally home today for the first time since about 10 am, and I have the results for you! Pictures will be put up either after Andrew sends them my way and I post them, or he posts them himself. The rankings were decided upon battle points first. Where those were equal, it went to win/loss/draw, and further ties were broken up by the players' opponents total battle points.
Place - Player (Battle Points) - Army - Round results - Opponent Battle Points
1st - Tom Crzi (20) - Eldar - WWD - 35 2nd - Andrew Delso (20) - Space Marines - WWD - 25 3rd - Jeff McConnel (19) - Black Templar - WWD 4th - Tim Waeyaert (19) - Tyranids - WWL 5th - Andrew K. (18) - Chaos Space Marines 6th - Mike Rios (12) - Black Templar 7th - Jim Slagstad (10) - Tau - WDL - 50 8th - Greg Chyson (10) - Space Marines -WDL - 35 9th - John Gaszak (10) - Necrons -WDL - 32 10th - Carl Swieton (10) - Space Wolves - DDL 11th - Ricky Neyens (9) - Tyranids 12th - Jeff Florido (7) - Imperial Guard 13th - Jason Chyson (6) - Tyranids 14th - John Keehn (2) - Chaos Space Marines
I had a really good time running the event as well as hanging out and talking to all the players in between rounds and after the tourney. I hope everyone else had a good time playing and I hope to see you all return when we host our next tournament (we're thinking of having a summer one). I'd like to thank all of the players for coming out and supporting us, as without you guys coming we wouldn't even have these events. I'd also like to thank Bill greatly for helping things run smooth and catching a few rules I myself was unsure of or wrong on. Thanks to Woodland Scenics and BattleFoam for their assisting us with prize support, as well as On-Board Games for allowing us to use their space to enjoy the hobby. Once again, hope everyone had a good time here, and if we for sure want to do a summer event we will probably get it posted on here as well as the Adeptus Windy City forums. Take care all.

Here are the armies, in the places they came in for convenience: 1. Tom, err, never saw an army to take a picture of, sorry... 2. Delso's Vulkan list; ie, the army in a box. 3. Jeff's Soul Drinkers (Black Templar list) 4. Tim's Tyranids 5. Andrew's Word Bearers; oops, never took a picture. It was too cool anyway. I'll get one up soon. 6. Mike's Black Templars 7. Jim's Tau 8. Greg's Space Marines 9. John's Necrons 10. Carl's Space Wolves 11. Ricky's Tyranids [error: database image missing] 12. Jeff's beautiful Death Korp 13. Jason's Tyranids 14. John's Chaos Marines

Extra in game shots: Land raider that got killed on top of a wrecked razorback. Believe it or not, but Abaddon and a terminator made it out of there alive. Oh look, there're some Eldar. Look at my terminators in Delso's army... A good example of a scratchbuilt model we allow at our tournaments.
