Well I am not involved...sadly I probably will also not be able to attend as I need to request off for these things pretty far in advance at my work and the official date hasnt surfaced so it is probably to late for me.

after some discussion..how would you guys feel like having it August 29th, the Saturday after classes start and it can be a great recruitment tool...so that we may have more people attend and those who need to schedule it in have some time to get that taken care of. Let me know what you think.

So if we want to use this as a recruiting tool why don't we get it put up on the SA student organization calendar? Also why don't we get our weekly meetings up on there as well? NIU does still consider us a student organization right? we are at least still listed as one on the web. Anyway i don't think it will bring in a ton but if its free and even one person shows up because of it isn't it worth it? (i assume its free...)

Haha that is a good one.
I think it is a real good idea to bring in new members. Most people (especially Freshman) are looking for something to do that first weekend and free food might just bring them in. I like Jimothy's idea of posting on the SA website event list. Though the SA organization stuff has not been updated in close to 4 years...it still lists me as president and Matt as Vice President.
In all seriousness about the name what about:

That last title idea is the best so far. Kill and Grill won't bring in people, sorry to say.
I think having it after school starts is the best. No one really has work to do for class...or that they really want to do. Also everyone is doing recruitment drives that week.
GO FOR IT!
I'll be there. I will make sure nothing is going on that day.
