Good News, Bad News. Bad News is that in order to get the hall I wanted to rent, I needed to move the Tournament by 1 week to 07/23/2011. The good news, the hall has been rented. I will post the official announcement later today.

That's fine, it's still the weekend before Games Day, so you shouldn't suffer for participation.

I am taking pictures of the hall tomorrow and will post them here. It is pretty big and I have it for 24 hours, so we can set-up either the night before or early in the morning. Would the NIMGC like any space to run something (big game, demo your GD table, etc.)?
I have turned on the registration button on the site so NIMGC members can sign-up early. Last year I did sell out, so I wanted to give the club first crack.
Andrew - Since you are a local, any suggestions on who I should have cater the event?

Feth if I know. If you were closer to Spring Grove I'd say Billy's Beef as they always have the best. Some local stuff (Tenuta's Pizza/Pasta) gets craphole reviews. There are always staples in Antioch that could work (Jimmy Johns & Rosati's).

The Rosati's is good, but a little pricey unless I get a coupon. Do you think we should go with a more typical spread (beef sandwich) or pizza. I was going to have Sprecher Root Beer on tap this year.

I am not a soda drinker, so don't forget the water! =P
I'd be good with sandwiches or pizza...if the latter then all I can say is there'd better be a restroom to wash my hands because I'm not gonna get my dudes greasy haha.

As always, there will be an assortment of healthier and not so healthy beverages. Just wanted to do something fun this year and we can't have booze (nor can I afford to pay for it), so a cold mug of Root Beer sounds like fun.

Anyone interested in learning WAB or Legends of the Old West? Tony from WWHFB was interested in running demo/bring-n-battles after the main event and wanted to gauge interesting playing either system.
Also, is the NIMGC interested in running anything after the main event?

I dunno if we will be...I might be tempted to do a BFG demo though.

2 PM meeting conference call tomorrow with potentially our biggest sponsor to date. If things go well, Invasion III may have another really big announcement on Jan 31st.

Simple question, should I expand this year's Invasion Kenosha to two days?

Depends on the distance people will be going and available local housing, as well as events to be held. I'm fine with the one day for six games (wowza!) because they are all quite small and go quick.

Made the decision to keep Invasion to one day. Don't want to start changing what works.

Just got a call from the wife to let me know a large package has just arrived from Poland and has c/o Invasion Kenosha III written all over it. Sounds like I will be making some more announcements in the weeks ahead.
