I would guess yes, as Invasion is a classy establishment.

Typically I would agree with Andrew, but since this is a Friday night event, I am wondering if we shouldn't waive the usual requirement. What is the general attitude of the community towards painting?

Usually since it is a 2 list tournament, most places have raffles for painting if you bring at least one fully painted list...the only time it is required is when it is "hardcore" format

How does this look? I am basing it off the one you guys are running.
Invasion Kenosha III 35 pt Steamroller Event
- Standard 35 pt Steamroller Event * two list format, both lists must be played at least once. * four rounds (more or less depending on attendance) * 60 minutes for each tournament round, timed turns, standard Steamroller '11 scenarios. * Awards: Steamroller Coins for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Additional prizes based on number of attendees.
More details to come, If you have any questions let me know. If you are interested in playing in the event please head to the Invasion Kenosha website (www.invasionkenosha.com) to register.

That's good at least for this year since its short notice. One thing I didn't think about is its Friday night at 5 and its a two hour drive for us....might stop some people depending on their work

I guess we will play it by ear and see how many folks sign up. The other option is just to do open gaming and do raffle prizes for games.

Registration is now open and rules have been posted on the site. Since this is our first year doing anything Privateer Press related, we are starting small with room to expand. If we fill the first tournament within the next two weeks, we will open another one for the same time. This week's theme on the Invasion website will be Warmachine and Hordes related announcements. Also note that the start time on July 22nd has been moved to 6 pm for check-in and 7 pm for first round. Finally, we are looking for one volunteer for Saturday that can run Warmachines or Hordes demos and potential manage pick-up games for Warmachines/Hordes. If interested in volunteering, please contact me via PM or via email (equinox999equinox@yahoo.com).

This week was dedicated to Rockhead's Comics in Games. Rockhead's C&G has been a sponsor of Invasion Kenosha for three years now and this year they have made a huge donation to the charity raffle. Speaking of the Charity Raffle, even if you are not playing in this year's tournaments, swing by on Saturday afternoon and purchase a couple tickets for the raffle. This year's raffle has more prizes than ever, and with prizes for every major wargaming system, everyone participating will have a shot at something cool to fit their gaming needs. www.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/daisy-may-memorial-charity-2011-raffle_10.htmlwww.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/daisy-may-memorial-charity-2011-raffle_09.htmlwww.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/daisy-may-memorial-charity-2011-raffle_08.htmlwww.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/daisy-may-memorial-charity-2011-raffle_07.htmlwww.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/daisy-may-memorial-charity-2011-raffle.htmlIf all the cool prizes for the charity raffle were not enough, Rockhead's has done something special for this year's WFB Tournament. www.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/warhammer-fantasy-swag-bag-announcement.htmlSpeaking of the WFB Tournament, the sportsmanship scorecard for this year has been posted on the site. www.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/warhammer-fantasy-sportsmanship.htmlAlso, the second primer scenario has been posted for the WFB Tournament. www.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/wfb-primer-scenario-2.htmlFinally, for WFB, last week was a preview of some of the terrain that has been built. www.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/preparing-to-invade-terrain-week_02.htmlwww.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/preparing-to-invade-terrain-week.htmlwww.invasionkenosha.com/2011/05/preparing-to-invade-terrain-week.htmlNot to be forgotten, the 40K tournament had a few more announcements regarding this year's Chapterhouse Studios Swag Bag. www.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/40k-rtt-swag-bag-announcement_09.htmlwww.invasionkenosha.com/2011/06/40k-rtt-swag-bag-announcement.htmlFinally, check out the interview I did for episode 59 of the Waaagh Cast. www.invasionkenosha.com/2011/05/waaagh-cast-episode-59.html

Friday Night Update - I am adding a Storm of Magic event to the Friday schedule. It will be open to anyone registered for the tournament on Saturday or folks that buy the Open Gaming Pass ($5.00). I will post details next Sunday, July 10th on the website. I am thinking 1600 points plus an additional 400 points for Spells of Binding, Sorcerer Pacts, etc. Players do not need to bring fulcrums (I am going to make a stack of them), but there will be a contest for Best Fulcrum and Best Monster. This will not be a tournament, but players will be paired at random as they become free for a game.
If you are interested in joining the Friday night action, please post in this thread.

Warhammer Fantasy Online Check-inWe are trying something new for this year with the implementation of an online check-in for the Warhammer Fantasy Tournament. Once full registered players have decided upon their army for the tournament and who they will be traveling with for the day, they can check-in for the tournament via the link below. The check-in process takes about 2 minutes and allows us to collect a couple pieces of information that will help with setting up the pods and determining first round table assignments. It will also help to prevent players from being paired up with a traveling companion for the first two rounds of the tournament. Players are not required to check-in early, but it will help if everyone playing in the tournament does it. Since this is something new, folks that check-in by July 15th, 2011, will be entered into an early check-in drawing as a special thanks for helping this year's tournament run smoothly. Check-in => qtrial.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_eF0fDFctQ0GuV3mNote: Please be fully registered before completing the check-in process.

Dang...I don't know if I'll be completing my army in time, so I don't want to give the wrong one!
However, more drawrings are good...
