Howdy all, my name is Rich and am a player that has some old 2nd Ed. 40k armies (Chaos Marines/Imperial Guard/Space Marines) and have started getting into Warmachine/Hordes (Cygnar/Mercenaries). I live in Rochelle and work at Kishwaukee College. Wish I would of kept all my old Warzone stuff now after seeing a couple of previous posts of players of that system. Hoping to meet more of you in the future.

Hey Rich, nice to have you here. A few friends and I still keep the first edition Warzone alive and kicking, with a couple armies each. Feel free to let me know if you want a game, we'll always accommodate!

Hi there! My name is Phil, I'm 29 and I live in Lockport. I grew up in new Lenox and I'm actually moving back there in August. My first game of 40k was over 10 years ago, but I just started playing again last year after not having played since the beginning of 5th edition. I have well over 8,000 points of chaos, 3000 of necrons and 3000 of tau. Me and a friend have been playing about once a week at my place, but it would be nice to have some new opponents I only have room for 1 table now, but when I move I'll have lots more room, and I'm willing to travel to play also. I have all weekends off from work, so those are my best days for playing. Im looking forward to meeting some new gamers and learning the new 6th rules.

That sounds great. Nice to meet you. We meet in DeKalb every Thursday from 5-10 Pm. There are also some people that meet in the Frankfort area on occasion as well.

Hello! My name is Sean, 39 years old and living in New Lenox (right next to Frankfort).
While a long time gamer, I haven't done much mini gaming besides stuff like Battletech/Leviathan/Centurion. I got sucked into Dust Warfare at Gencon 2012 with a friend (who lives in Maryland) so am looking for more local people to play with. I have a fairly extensive Allies army for Dust (879 total points...official tournament size is 300 points, I basically have 1 of everything and a few extra's for allies that is currently out) plus a few Axis units from the Core set (revised).
I play other games also, but this is going to be the only miniature game I can collect myself. I'm married with a young child and my wife is an accountant who runs our money. Just sneaking all my Dust purchase's past her was hard enough! I'm open to RPG games, board games, Magic the Gathering (just getting back into after not playing for 17 years)
Maybe someday I'll be able to get out to a Thursday meeting to meet people in Dekalb and officially 'join' unless you guys have a paypal link etc.
Thanks, Sean

Its nice to meet you Sean. Unfortunately DUST Warfare did not take off like we thought with the club. Adam and I am most likely getting out of the game and we were the only 2 that played. There is a group that meets in Rockford that plays pretty consistently. Other than that I'm not sure who else plays on the area. Sorry again.

My name is Stacy. I am 44 and have been buying GW products for several years but have played only 4 or 5 games. I bought in at the end of 4th edition. Of course I didn't know that there was a 5th edition on the way. Long story short, I have a lot of rule books and army books but I still don't know how to play. I am in Rockford but the local GW store is a little intense for me but I have decided to not late 6th edition pass me by.

Hey Stacy! The shop in Dekalb is bustling and we always welcome newcomers (and new players). We're a friendly, easy-going bunch, so if possible, I'd say the trip is definitely worth it .

Hello all. I'm Alfie and from Sycamore. I already visit the New Game in Town for MTG and comics, etc. I have an Ork army for 40k and I'm just getting into Warmachines. Theyve all been neglected lately and I'd really like to get some games in to justify more purchases!
The crappy part is that I work second shift on weekdays. I've heard tell that some of you guys are around on sundays as well. Is that true at all? Specifically this sunday I'd really love a battlebox game of warmachine with someone able to teach the game to a new player.

most of us are more than happy to get some battle box and low point games in to teach the rules and help you get a feel for the game. its how we grow the community!! I will try to post in the looking for game section if there will be people at the store on Sunday. At this point I am 50/50 if I will be there... I has painting to do for Adepticon!

Hello, my name is James and I live in the Douglas residence at NIU. I have just recently got into Warhammer 40k. I have the Assault on Black Reach set, an ork battle force, and a few extras i picked up along the way.
I have been looking to try to play some Warhammer 40k, but I couldn't find a place in DeKalb to play. I found New Game in Town and saw there was a club to possibly join. so I looked it up and here i am. i was wondering if there was anyone who wanted to play a game sometime soon.

Hi Ace and welcome!
While I don't play 40K much anymore there still is a good sized group of guys that play. Your best bet is to swing by New Game in Town on Thursday night as it is miniature night and the club guys usually have a couple of games of 40K going. You can either jump in and play with em or get to know them and arrange a game on a day that may be better or less crowded.
In either case its great to have you and hope to see you there soon!

Thursday nights are definitely the night to be there! We have a strong and growing 40k group of players, so we'll make you feel right at home. Hopefully, of course!

Howdy, Not sure if anyone is around much or not, but...
I'm Josh and just started getting into 40K. I've managed to blow quite a bit of money (mostly on used stuff, but still...) on an Imperial Guard army and have quite a bit. I'm still in process of painting most of it, but I'd like to start playing as I find that keeps my excitement up and my dive to finish things. I also have a much smaller Dark Angels army mostly from the Dark Vengeance set and some other add-ons, also 'in-progrress'. I live in Sycamore.
Thanks!
