My name is Josh. I started the NIMGC in 2005. I have been miniature gaming for about 15 years now. For me gaming is more a way for me to relax and hang out with friends. I graduated from NIU in the Spring of 07' with a Bachelors in History. I live in Peotone. I own Rare Choice Games which is a game store (only online at this moment). Ahoy!
My name is Andrew, 19, from Spring Grove, IL. I am an anthropology major and I am also the club Secretary, which means I more or less report on what happens during meetings, let everyone know what's planned and such, and take over if Josh becomes unavailabe (insert plans for military coup here...what?)
I am a fan of science fiction, the great outdoors, games of all sorts, my girl (very, VERY interested in that), having a good time, and sometimes referred to as fluff monkey because I know too much of it. Not here yet, but if you so choose I won't get annoyed at the title...

Howdy! My name is Matt. I am currently typing on a broken computer. I am a psychology major with an art minor. I am from Frankfort, IL (60423 area code for those postal service workers!!). I enjoy playing games on the video, warhammer fantasy (lizardmen) and 40k (dark eldar and witchhunters-play with fire), my girlfriend, adult swim (hey birdman!!...he is unt perfect clone!!), mega man (robots chase mega man in a minivan), stella (so you're saying the whole time she said there was a deer behind us she was lying? yes. well I'm going to look a little longer.), upright citizens brigade (I smell meatball sub!! It's actually a meatball sub air freshener.) and all the like. I am currently the Vice President of the NIMGC and do jack shit bc Andrew has to do all the work while I laugh in glee!! And no Andrew, I take over if Josh is unable. If I'm unable to take over, then you can run the gig. I am also referred to as Hard Nips by multiple people, but don't call me that unless you know me bc u probably wouldn't understand....ya I think my computer is about to die so I'll just post this and revise it later. My grandpa gave it me so it has sentimental value (actually I don't have a grandpa, but you didn't know that der der!!).

Hello there my name is Glenn Oba and I am part of this miniature gaming group club deal. Uh, lets see I play World Eaters which is crazy crazy choas space marines. I used to be loyalist before i decided i liked the assault phase more than the shooting phase. I am a 40k nut and I love the fluff. Uhh what else. I play video games and the usaul. Im a big Anime fan, i read tons of it and watch tons of it. Im also on the NIU Ultimate Frisbee team which is fun. uh what else, im from the north side of Chicago though im not really a cubs fan but more of a really insainly overly big Bears fan. Well thats about it, i shall see everyone in the meetings.

Wie Gehts, Manner- My name is Adam Huenecke. I am a History major and a veteran (gunner on an M1A2 Abrams). Not suprisingly, I play Imperial Guard. I have been gaming for upwards of 15 years, and have played just about every army on every system (even the obscure ones like Necromunda and Gorkamorka). This doesn't mean I am good, just experienced. I enjoy painting, building terrain and long walks on the beach. I also do WWII Reenactments with the 25th Panzergrenader. I'm currently a senior computer-science major with a minor in Japanese studies. You can ask me how to say something in Japanese, but odds are pretty slim that I'd know it. Back to the point! I'm a big fan of TV, anime in particular, movies, roleplay games, video games, pretty much everything except sports and work. Some friends got me into Warhammer40k back in high school. I tend to suck, but that's one of the reasons I joined the club, with a little practice I'll suck way less. I'm currently trying to hammer out the dents in my marine army list, and I'm nurturing a growing Necron force.

Im Mike Rios, and im a sophomore criminology major. Im one of our Tau players, and i hope to start a wood elves army soon. I've been gaming since i can remember, mostly rpg's, warhammer and Magic: The Gathering, and i am also a big gamer of the console systems, mostly pc strategy games. I am a Tolkien nut, and also a star wars nerd. Im from Blue Island, suburb of chi-town.

Im Caleb Westadt I live in round lake park which is like 10 mins from gurnee. Im a Electrical engineering technologies major with a minor in political science and maybe a future minor in computer science and mathmatics, i havent decided yet. I play warhammer 40k(eldar) if you play me im prolly have the most annoying army to play against, i also play Battle Fleet Gothic(orks) and i have space hulk. I play games that is my main intrests, you name it I have prolly played it atleast once. I love anime and adult swim, i also like football, paintball, techno music, Various forms of rock, Classical music, jazz,fantasy books, scifi books, and what ever i randomly pick up. I also like alchohol in a non alchoholic way. Im more how about beer and liquor tastes then how well it gets me drunk. I am also an officer in NIU Forensics(speech and debate, not dead bodies). Parlimentary and Policy debate, so dont argue with me ill most likely kick your ass. i think thats it.

I live in Dekalb at the AKL house. However my hometown is Alsip, IL where my mom lives...also where I attended highschool and got into RPG's and minatures. Ah Elsewhere Comics lol. My dad, whom I also live with from time to time, lives in New Lenox, IL...prolly 10 minutes from Josh.
I play many games on pc, consoles, table-tops too...
I run a clan for Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast...quite successful. Im into many genres of games...I lofe Resident Evil...4 just kicks ass...anything Star Wars...I read alot of Star Wars and Sci-fi books...esspecially Michael Crichton *drools*.
I also play guitar and write songs when I can. I wanna get a band together soon and start recording.
My major is Computer Science (Applied...stupid biz courses lol). With a minor in economics. I am thinking about goin to a contract major for games...but Im not sure juuuuust yet.
Im 5'10'', 155 lbs, and I like long walks on the beach....lol jk guys. Sorry I type alot.
I play many RP's mostly d20 rules...so D and D, Star Wars, and d20 Modern...and I also do forum RP...which is rather fun and the explanation for my sporatic elongated typing lol.

Hello everyone, my name is Andrew. I actually don't go to northern, just buddies with Josh  . I live in Peotone, IL. I go to JJC for business administration & accounting. Plan on going to Governor's State afterwards to continue with my Accounting major. I work at a shitty grocery store called Seehausen's. I noticed many on here like adult swim, as do I, plenty of shows I haven't seen though, since I download them or buy the seasons. I am 21. I have been roleplaying since I was 12. Started wargaming when I was 15, started to buy devout for a game called chronopia then I just used the mini's for chaos warriors in warhammer. I have a huge chaos, skaven, and lizardmen army. I can field by far the most points with my chaos. I am working on an all calvalry army for empire, and I have a few high elves but I stopped buying them cuz I was very upset with the codex when they came out. They could make a good cav. army, but that is about it. Troops cost too much, may have cool abilities, but their low armor makes them too much for how easy they die. I have played many many miniature games, battletech, battle fleet gothic, 40k, warhammer, chronopia, silent death, historicals, VOR, LOTR's, Mordhiem, Blood Bowl, etc. As for Rpg's, I started with Vampire: The masquerade. I have also played D&D(who hasn't?), Gurps, Mage, Werewolf, Changeling(Prob. spelled wrong), Big Eyes Small Mouth, etc. GURPS is my favorite roleplaying game. I love tennis! Lets play.  I will be in the northern area the 23rd & the 24th for some wargaming and what not. Peace. |

Also, anyone live in Stevenson? Oh, and I have Blood Angels, Half a Guard army, and a few orks. My firends have Grey Knights, Nids, Vanilla Marines, and Necrons.

Hi Everybody! Hi Doctor Nick. Hey look, it's Mr. McGreg with a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg! Hi, I'm Evan, first year at NIU, second year at college, I'm a biology major, with a masters in Ass-kicking and a minor in Rough Housing. No seriously, my passions include spending time with my close friends and family, and martial arts to which I've studied mostly Tae Kwon Do for over ten years as well concepts and techniques from about four other styles. So if you ever have a legitament question about anything martial arts related I'm fairly knowledgeable and will gladly answer any question, unless you ask me to do a back flip cause then I'll have to destroy you in an utterly horrible fashion. When I'm not studying at my room I'm planning weekly training routines or I'm in the gym training in various ways or reading various things. I love the fluff of warhammer. I love playing more than winning or anything else. I like the painting, back story, construction, and playing all about equally so my models aren't top notch nor my skills noteworthy but I do enjoy it all. I come from the same dwelling as Redsparrow which is essentially Gurnee cause you won't know my backwater bumblef$%k town of Lindenhurst. I used to date but not so much these days, but who knows what the new year will bring. I enjoy anime, Simpsons(who doesn't?), food(GIVER!) and above all predator to whom I was for Halloween one year. Well I guess I have finally got around to posting on this website. The name is Ian I play Dark eldar for 40k(around 2,500pts) and I play Empire for fantasy(somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,000 pts and another 1,500 unassembled 2,000 of which are fully painted). I run mainly a cavalry army for empire with a butt load of war machine's. I run a Archon centered Kabal(not so many witches) for dark eldar. I have been playing 40k for about 4 yrs and fantasy for about 2 yrs. I also play the star wars minature war game. My home town is a south suburb, Richton Park(close to Matteson and park forest). When I am there I game at Eldrich Hobbies(was in manteno moving to some where closer to richton park soon) I like anime especially full metal alchemist and Inuyasha. I am a physics ed. major. I am not going to bore you guys with the rest of my life story but to put some of you at ease I do have a women and I am not gay....but there is nothing wrong with being gay I'm just not (oh ya and I like Seinfeld, note the badly quoted Jerry quote..) Oh ya at my other gameing store I have the nick name Captain rule book some of you should know why I am called this......not my fault I read the damn rules  |

Hey everyone,
My name is James and like Andrew above, I don't actually go to NIU, but am friends with Josh (Otho.) I occasionally drag him to my place, now Morris, Il for marathon 8K point WH Fantasy games. He suggested that in the interest of his gas money, I sign up and meet some gamers closer to him.
So, for FYI, I'm 31 or 32 now, I never really remember. I dual majoured in Religion and Philosophy when I was in school (at Augustana College in Rock Island.) It's where I met my wife. I've always been interested in games (though not good at them) heavily into roleplaying games for a long time, and in the past six or seven years into Warhammer/Mordhiem. My daughter's birth three years ago has limited the amount of time and money I have to spend on gaming (but not the willingness to try.) I enjoy the World Series Champion White Sox, Da Bears, just about all types of music, reading, horror movies (especially zombies), and the occasional video game.
I currently own Beastmen, Wood Elves, Vampire Counts, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Bretonnians, Empire and Orcs and Goblin armies but am looking to unload some of them. Empire is my biggest, but Beastmen being my best (finished, well painted, converted and whatnot.) I'm just starting to put together my Bretonnians, and I think I have about 2k Orcs and Goblins that are still in blisters and on the sprue.
I'm happy to make a weekend drive to NIU for a game or two.

I thought it was time to post here.
My name is Vic Mohammad and I am a Nursing Major here at NIU. I play Warhammer 40k Imperial Guard style and currently have about 2,000 points.
I have done a lot of roleplaying in the past, mainly D20 systems (I just think the game is more fun than older, vastly more complicated, editions). My favorite roleplaying setting is White Wolf's World of Darkness BEFORE they fucked shit up in the latest edition. Best roleplaying game I've ever played is Timelords.
I am foremost a PC gamer. I enjoy miniatures mostly for the modeling and painting aspects, but the game is pretty fun too.

i never know what to write on the things, so that's why it took so long.
Hey i'm justin, i live in neptune and so far i've been playing for almost eight years now. I have tons of armies for both fantasy and 40k and play just about every fanatic game as well aside from epic. I mostly play chaos, but i have a lot more than just that.
i'm a theater major, so i have really weird hours during the week, but whenever i'm free i'm always up for a game. i know most of the backgrounds for both universes, and i hope that i can iuse that to make champaigns and such.

Hiya!
This is 'the female' *gasp* and my name is Jess. I'm graduating in May with an Accountancy degree and then diving right back in this summer for my Masters degree. Woo... fun... I grew up in Chicago Heights, (Chi-heights of course for any of you southsiders that might know it) but I pretty much live here in DeKalb now.
Anywho, 40K is something that's pretty new to me, as you might have guessed, but I think by first impressions, that it's pretty neat and I'm looking forward to getting my feet wet. Be gentle with me boys ;p I just finished putting together my first Ork Battleforce, and I have no idea how many points that is, but I'm working on it!
Now, you may have heard some things about me. I do not deny any allegations that I *may* have been a raging b*tch as a CA. If you've ever known a CA personally, I'm sure you've heard many stories and might understand why. I have many great stories, I assure you. Actually, as some might have picked up on at the meeting, I'm quite shy at first. Please feel free to say hi, and even give me a hard time.
I'm looking forward to my first game and thus my first merciless beating. ;p
